Gablok is a green construction company, in more ways than one. We design and manufacture our products from materials and components that are as environmentally friendly, durable, and as renewable as possible. For example, Gablok wooden blocks are constructed from sustainable OSB timber and insulated with expanded polystyrene with graphite additive (EPS) which is about 98 % air.
Sustainable homes by design
The green materials we use to create our modular components are manufactured from sustainable materials sourced from low environmental impact or renewable resources, ensuring we have a smaller footprint to manufacture components whilst minimizing material wastage.
The energy performance of our wooden blocks makes our homes incredibly energy efficient. Our insulated wood blocks are ready for the Energy Performance Building (EPB) values demanded by European Quasi-Zero Energy consumption (Q-Zen) constructions standards.
The thermal conductivity of a passive house wall is U=0.10w/m²k. A wall built with Gablok insulated wood is 0.15 w/sqm²k without the need for external insulation.
